Save a copy, red circle with x

I want to save a copy of an assembly and reuse the same components, however one of them has a red circle with an x in it. I've tried to regenerate the file with the red circle and regenerate the top level asm and the red circle still remains. Help!

You have to carefully check dependecies and external references for that assembly/subassembly.

Chris,

red X symbol means ... there are External and Circular references related to this component.

See https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS41041 and https://support.ptc.com/appserver/cs/view/solution.jsp?n=CS15822 if you have PTC account.
