Currently it is possible to use the feature for grinding wheel applications, where the tool-axis of the grinding wheel is horizontal to the workpiece-axis.

But it is not usable for a process where the tool-axis is orthogonal to the workpiece axis. For example with a end mill cutter.

(picture 3). 

There gives a possibility in the setting "Adjustments" to turn the tilt-Angle. But this doesnt work.

It would be very important for our company that this function also works for our application.

Other CAD applications like SolidWorks are supporting this command. It's time for PTC to do as well. Calculating the surface using Simulate is not a good option and also not exact enough.

PTC promised to add a new volume sweep tool when Creo 4.0 was released.

I was very surprised that this tool is still not available in Creo 8.0.

I heard that the upcoming Creo 9.0 also does not have this tool.

What happened to PTC?

Is it technically a big problem that cannot be overcome?
