We need to control colors when DRW is opened from local/network drives. CreoView doesnt follow syscol or pentables as we know https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS165682 Should not be such problem to add the same color management like in Creo. Now in CreoView we can change background color only which is not enough. We need full color control to avoid crazy colors when DRW is opened locally.

Creo Parametric models can be created using image files as texture mapping when the model has that requirement. Example: Decal/Nameplates/SN Tags. Today the model can be created with the embedded image. A subsequent drawing can also be created and the image visible as long as the model colors drive the drw view. From there a colored pdf can be produced if a 2D document is desired. When creating the Creo View visualizations the image used on the model is not produced. We would like to see the true and complete model in the Creo View application that includes any image in the model. This could support the MBE/MBD efforts of downstream users who typically only see the visualization files. Creo Parametric Model Creo View Image

When creating an illustration, and using section view of the model, capping the section does not affect to the SVG export in any way. Creo Illustrate needs to cap the section when exporting to SVG as well. The lines behind the capped geometry are visible in the SVG export, but not in the illustration. Attached are the capped section.png which shows what is the illustration setup, and SVG export (svg_export.svg) that has been done from the illustration.

Creo View owns the feature to show the part names generated with different attributes. e.g. using the synchronized WTPart number and the name from Windchill. Creo still doesn't own this feature! These part names should be available in all dialogs and not just in the structure navigator. So if you search in the open dialog, it should also find those parts. Get rid of this old school filename!!! Everybody talks about generated numbers and classify it with attributes. Just Creo doesn't support it.

Environment: 1. Cero View Adapters 4.2 F000 2. Creo Parametric 4.0 M040 3. Creo View 4.2 F000 Reproduce (Video attached): 1. Create a normal Creo Assembly 2. Create a Creo Process Plan for the Assembly 3. Create N (e.g. 3 ) steps in the Creo Process Plan 4. Check in Creo Process Plan file and publish (Or save as PVZ) 5. Open Representation of the Process Plan in Creo View, and double click the Figure Problem: Only N-1 (e.g. 2) steps are displayed , the last one is missing

When manually creating item callouts/item lists in Creo Illustrate, you can only select a part as the reference for the callout. If you want to have a callout for an assembly and it's parts, you can only use the automatic tool, but this will only let you do it for a single selected assembly or the entire structure. Quite often you have a top level assembly with a number of sub-assemblies and you want to give a number to the sub-assembly and the parts within that sub-assembly and have them appear in the parts list.

When importing a creo assembly in Creo illustrate, illustrate only adds parts which are in the same folder as assembly file. We have a scenario where customer is using standard parts from library folders in assembly and they want to link Creo Parametric assembly with Creo Illustrate. At the moment illustrate ignore all the parts in different folders, which means customer cannot link creo assembly with illustrate. If they use PVZ file to bring in all the parts in illustrate, they lose the dynamic link with the creo assembly; which is not acceptable to them. CreoView options has materials definitions. It can not use CreoPro materials!?? it is expecting .xml files. It should be able to share materials library from creoPro. or translate .mat files to .xml files.

Today Creo View uses the external Adobe Acrobat or other PDF viewer software. We have had countless issues with this interface. IT updates Acrobat, and sometimes it fails, sometimes it doesn't. Someone has Full Acrobat and Reader and it causes issues. Someone tries to install Creo View with short term Elevated Privileges, and it only installs Creo View, not the Adobe Acrobat Adapter. So when they eventually open a PDF, they can't install the adapter. I get 1-5 emails a week on Creo View not working correctly, and most of the time they are having issues with viewing PDFs. Reinstall is the usual answer, but that's not right, and even more difficult with restrictions on Elevated Privileges. If a PDF viewer were embedded with the software I think it might work better than an adapter. That way it doesn't have to depend on another program being installed the right way. No matter what, the software just HAS to work better and be more seemless to the end user. The only other alternative I can think of is not use Creo View for PDF viewables at all, and keep it only for models.

Creo View If you Export a pvz file (from Creo View) - with save current view as --> dxf - the Units in the .dxf are automatically changed to Inch. would be nice if the Units would be the same as in the .pvz file or the Units are configurable.

Support was added to Creo 3.0 M060 to allow mixed font output to PDF. (This already existed for printing.) With the new config option enabled, True Type fonts are correctly embedded in the PDF, and non-True Type fonts are stroked. This mixed output provides the best balance between file size and quality while insuring that what is seen on the screen exactly matches what is shown in the PDF. (See CS205845 for more info.) Please add this same capability to the Creo View Adapters. There needs to be an additional option made available in the recipe editor just like there is in Creo's PDF Export Settings dialog. Newly added option in Creo: Missing the same option in the Creo View Adapters recipe editor:

Enable Creo View to load the related branch links of assemblies and parts residing in the group from a "double click" action on the name in the Groups area. There would be value if Creo View could Autoload Branch Links(Not Models) of Assemblies and Parts from a Static Group in Creo View. Creo View currently has intelligence to autoload branch links and models for Annotation sets or simpilfied reps. This functionality is missing for Static Groups. According to the developers there is a risk for loading assemblies residing in the group due to risk of loading all models associated to a very large assembly which we don't want. However, there is extreme value to loading the branch links in the tree to enable the following key functions: Search on attributes Bill of Material Generation Color Coding Finding Simplfied reps of those loaded assemblies in the viewables tab. Please vote for this idea. Groups are really useless in large assembly structures as currently designed unless you know exaclty which items in the tree you loaded to create the group. Imagine having over 100,000 objects or more in the model tree...

Somehow PTC managed to make it more difficult to drag a section plan in Creo View. 1. pull on the section plane outline to drag, and/or 2. Ctrl or Shift or Alt or any combination there of with a mouse button to drag section plane when zoomed in.

Reference PTC Case 13012457 We have Skeleton Parts with Coordinate Systems Only. I'm sure many companies are publishing Datums now. I can box select or LMB select the datum in the graphics area and the object in the model tree highlights. This is good! However, If I select the part with datums only in the model tree, nothing highlights in the graphics area. Please vote to have Creo View highlght the datum in the graphics area.

When I open Creo View by viewing a drawing which I select in Windchill, the Creo View screen opens somewhere in the middle of my both screens. I would prefer the Creo View maximizes on the screen where my browser is open.

Hello, We have this problem in Creo View. Export to DXF file from Creo View is not correct. From Creo Parametric is correct. The DXF file behaves correctly. I mean this. When I set black backgroung in Autocad so I will have lines automatically white. From Creo View does not work correctly. The DXF file is not DXF file with correctly content. I think this. Color of lines is not correctly. I can not say to our customer - You must use AutoCAD with white backgroung because our DXF has black lines only. This is mistake of export do DXF file from Creo View. Export from Creo View to DXF file: Export from Creo Parametric. (correct):

The variable SHICODE is actually hardcoded in the psf file Example: SHIPCODE=M040 CREO_COMMON_FILES=Common Files\M040 We have standard psf that we copy at each Windows user login. Some users could have differents release of Creo 2.0. so their psf should be different too. The shipcode should de automaticallay recovered depending on the last realease installed

This idea is for a request to add Creo View Bill of Material Output based on selected components. The current options are "pick assembly" or "entire structure". My picture shows the functionality I'm looking for which is to box select the geometry on the screen(in my case, the two tires) and then generate the Bill of Material based on the selection. Ideally, I'd like for the parent assemblies to also be included for "Hierarchical" output. The bottom part of the picture is showing the output Bill of Material of 35 pages which includes all the suspension components along with many other truck components in session. The output of this Bill of Material could be included in a Windchill Search which could then be added to a Workspace for modifications. Ultimately, I'd like to recreate the assembly structure and position of only the selected components for loading in Creo Parametric. Pick assembly has it's limitations as you can only pick one assemlby out of the model tree. In my real world example, I wanted the parts associated with engine mounts(engine), frame rail(chassis) and front suspension spring hanger(suspension). I had 12,000 objects open in Creo View and these parts were from 3 different assemblies.
