Issue with the MathCAD License Server

Dear Mathcad TEAM,
I recently wanted to install the license server. However, the license server keeps telling me, that there are no issues to server in my license file. The corresponding support Article - CS109302 is not helpful. Please find an extract of the license file below.

---- Begin License file extract ----
DAEMON ptc_d "C:\Program Files\PTC\InService_License_Server_Windows\PTCEswlm\ptc_e\ptc_e.exe"
#################### FLOATING Option #####################
# Serviceable = Mathcad Extensions
# Feature Name = 254
# Feature Version = 26.0
# Number of Copies = 250
# Expiration Date = 30-oct-2024
# Module = Mathcad Image Processing
INCREMENT 254 ptc_d 26.0 30-oct-2024 250 \
xxxxxxxx VENDOR_STRING="VSVER=2.0 LO=()" \
SUPERSEDE ISSUER=PTC ISSUED=08-nov-2023 \
NOTICE="xxxxxxxx_(M), xxxxxxxx" SIGN2="0C26 \
xxxxxxxx"
#################### FLOATING Option #####################
---- End License file extract ----

Unlike in the support article, the line starting with increment is not commented and should be found by the license server. However, the server exits with the following message:

---- Begin Log Extract ----
10:11:25 (ptc_e) No features to serve, exiting
10:11:25 (ptc_e) EXITING DUE TO SIGNAL 27 Exit reason 4
10:11:30 (lmgrd) ptc_d exited with status 27 (No features to serve)
10:11:30 (lmgrd) ptc_d daemon found no features. Please correct
10:11:30 (lmgrd) license file and re-start daemons.
10:11:30 (lmgrd)
10:11:30 (lmgrd) This may be due to the fact that you are using
10:11:30 (lmgrd) a different license file from the one you expect.
10:11:30 (lmgrd) Check to make sure that:
10:11:30 (lmgrd) C:\Program Files\PTC\InService_License_Server_Windows\PTCEswlm\ptc_e\ptc_e.licenses
10:11:30 (lmgrd) is the license file you want to use.
---- End Log Extract ----

I would be really grateful for any advice.

Thanks and best regards

I just resolved the issue by installing the latest version of the license server. With Lmadmin 11.19.1.0 everything seems to work out of the box.

Thanks and best regards

It looks like your license file only contains additional licensed features (Extension Packs).

Hi VladimirN,

thanks for your response. Unfortunately, this is not the case and does not explain the behaviour. The features we have licenses for are the following:

#FeatureName Qty Product Release Type
#**************************************************************************************************************
#254 250 Mathcad Image Processing Prime 6.0 Flt Opt
#255 250 Mathcad Data Analysis Prime 6.0 Flt Opt
#256 250 Mathcad Signal Processing Prime 6.0 Flt Opt
#257 250 Mathcad Wavelets Prime 6.0 Flt Opt
#MATHCAD 250 Academic Mathcad Term License Prime 6.0 Flt Lic
#MathcadPrime 250 Academic Mathcad Term License Prime 9.0 Flt Lic

The LMTools version we are using is 11.13.1.3.

Thanks and best regards

Hi,

FYI ... if you read the page no.3

in https://www.ptc.com/support/-/media/support/refdocs/Creo_Parametric/compatibility/PTC_LMS_Download.pdf?sc_lang=en document,

then you will find that the PTC_E daemon is intended for Codebeamer, PTC Arbortext Content Delivery, PTC iWarranty, PTC MOVE applications.
