Idea for user comfort

Nowadays while waiting for Mathcad completing a simulation, I have to listen to the CPU-fan. After finishing it reduces its RPM and I can go and see the results.

It would be nice to have a progress bar indicating some kinde of progress- this would be possible if one work sheet is calculated several times with small changes only...

Egg timer?

1) Set-up sounds to play at different points in the program

2) Use the "debugger window" and the trace() function at key points in the worksheet to print out progress.

I get the feeling that this might upset the my colleagues in the office.

Hi Mike,

In this case you can use headphones.

P.S. I'm glad that you are back in the community.

debugging would slow down the calculation, I find no sound routine.

Unfortunately Mathcad won't play sound on its own.

Find attached a sheet with three components, one which plays a selectable number of beeps and two which play wav-files.

The routines were stolen from here over the time 😉

EDIT: replaced the file for an updated/corrected one
