Units

In Mathcad I type R to get degrees rankine, a temperature unit. But spirit is taking it to be the universal gas constant. Must use drop down unit menu to get R as a temperature unit.

It's a matter of labeling. R is defined as a unit as a degree Rankine and as a constant as the universal gas constant (on a molar basis). Unlabeled, it refers to the constant, not the unit. Attach a label to get whichever you really want.

Better for degrees Rankine is R.
We have in Mathcad 14 R and R as degrees Rankine.
