Introducing eSupport tools for Windchill Upgrade troubleshoot

We are happy to introduce a new tool on the eSupport site! This tool is designed to quickly get you the information you need in one place without having to search for it.

 

The Windchill Upgrade Troubleshooter will help to guide you to the most common solutions for Windchill upgrade issues. This may include scenarios such as:

  • Determining hardware and software requirements on the target system
  • Preparing the source system for upgrade
  • Running WinDU tasks to validate the data on the source system and taking actions to correct any inconsistencies found during the validation
  • Addressing issues that arise during the upgrade itself, including (but not limited to):
    • Documentation issues
    • Runtime configuration issues
    • Data corruption issues or uniqueness violations
    • Issues with running the upgrade tool
  • Addressing post-upgrade issues, including content storage (file vaulting) and data inconsistency issues

 

Our knowledge experts are actively monitoring your feedback and continuing to enrich the content with more pictures and videos.
