Migration Pains and Why You Want to Stay Current

The presentation will describe the company's evolution from migration based upgrades to upgrade-in-place version updates. The presenters will discuss the pain points  Lockheed Martin Space Systems experienced during their  migrations starting with the PTC Windchill 5 migrating to PTC Windchill 626, PTC Windchill 626 to PTC Windchill 9.1, upgrading-in-place PTC Windchill 8.0 to PTC Windchill 9.1,and upgrading-in-place PTC Windchill 9.1 to PTC Windchill 10.2.  The presenters will share the lessons learned along the way, the importance of staying current, and the value of using configurable tailoring rather than model customizations for the sustainability and value to the business.
