Removing the Borders between Mechanical and Electrical Engineering: EPLAN PTC Windchill Integration

Collaboration in product development, especially across the borders of different engineering disciplines requires transparency in the processes and structures. Simply adapting the best practices from mechanical into electrical engineering in most cases is not sufficient enough due to different requirements and standards regarding the design and documentation. The presenters will take a closer look at the connections between electrical and fluid power design in automation and control configuration. Attendees will see how logical dependencies will be mapped to structural information and how the EPLAN platform for interdisciplinary engineering can be integrated into Windchill to generate electro-mechanical product models.
