Assembly BOM List

I would like a purchased item such as a destaco clamp to appear as a single item (even though it is an assembly)in the exploded view of the larger assembly drawing. like wise I would like this sub assembly to be a single line item in the BOM on the assembly drawing. is this a good use for a shrinkwrap simplified rep and if so how dose that work thanks Will

William, Set the properties of your repeat region to flat instead of recursive, this way only the top level components will show on the table. As an alternative, you may want to set the properties of the repeat region to recursive and manually set the property of the desired component to flat. Good luck.

William, What we practice here at our company is that we import the vendor's model (part or assembly) as a pro/e part. Many neutral formal assembly files can be imported as parts. That way, it will appear as a single item. Otherwise, you could still import as an assembly and then export as a shrinkwrap which will produce a part resembling (and merging) all components in one part. From the assembly, File, Save a Copy, and then choose "shrinkwrap" as the type. From the dialog box that comes next, choose "merge as solid" and set a quality level for the export.
