Basic Dimension Change in WF 4.0

Does anyone know how to change the basic dimension behavior to resemble the method in WF 3.0. When I create a basic dimension with a '3X' in front of the dim, I want the '3X' to be include in the box with the basic dimension. This functionality was changed from WF 3.0 to WF 4.0. Does anyone know how of an option to go back? ...Beside using @[3X X.XXX@]? Thanks!

Check the config option ida_prefix_in_basic_dim_box. I think that is it but considering I can't even figure out how to make a dimension "basic" I can't test it. Any help on that would be appreciated. thanks

Hello ,

As per the article - CS11097:

As of Wildfire 4.0, the text appearing outside of the basic dimension box is current fuctionality.

Some customers want some text inside or outside, therefore it will be necessary to use the following syntax:

For outside the box - @Dtext or text@D
For inside the box - @[@Dtext@] or @[text@D@]

This syntax interacts correctly with the basic dimension box.

Which release of Pro/ENGINEER or Creo Parametric are you using?

Thanks,

Amit
