Ihave hard time to find out howto set a datum reference on a cylindrical feature (I need to specify a conc entricity tolerance of a cylinder with respect to a cylindrical datum reference - typical for shafts).
Can anybody give me a clue?
Thank you very much.

Set the axis of the datum feature as the Datum and select "in dimension" for the placement, select the dimension that controls the diameter of the cylinder that you have chosen as your datum reference. This will give you in the drawing a datum feature attached to the outer diameter of the datum reference when the dimension for the cylinder is shown.
Edit > setup > Geom Tol > set datum - then select the axis or plane - then select the radio button for "in dim" and select the feature to get the dimension to show and select the dimension. Otherwise, the datum will be attached to the axis and not the surface that it should be.
