Ghost Object

Ghost Object

I have a drawing that has some invisible link to a part that does not
exist anymore. I do a "where used" on the ghost and it doesn't list
anything but it still shows up when I save the drawing. I have checked
all the obvious areas and there is nothing. The only link that I find
is when I open the part as a document and search for the part number and
I find it in the code of the drawing. Is there a way to break this link
inside or outside or ProE

I did send this to both the ProE list and the Intralink list, sorry for
the redundancy.

These config options should clear that up for you. But apparently you
don't want to have them turned on for normal use, just when you want to
clean up those ghost objects that are stuck in a drawing (or layout I
suppose).

cleanup_drawing_dependencies yes
cleanup_layout_dependencies yes

Mike,

Have you tried selecting File à Properties à Del Model from the Pro-E
drawing file? The drawing property options are shown in the attached JPEG.
Trying deleting the part model to see if it will break the link.

As for Pro/Intralink, it has been a few years since I have used it, so I
cannot answer that question. I use DesignDataManager (DDM) as an
alternative.

This worked. I had already made sure there were no extra models in the
drawing. There was a linked dependency that needed broken. This
procedure worked perfectly.

Thanks to all who replied.
