Importing Pro-E part files from Solidworks

We are having difficulty in importing solid Pro-E files that have been converted from Solidworks models. The whole process crashes when we attempt this. Is there anything we can do either at our end of the process or from the customer who is creating the files in Solidworks.[/b]

STEP files generally work very well from SW to Pro/E, but you get a dumb file. BUT, if you have it you could use the feature recognition tool and rebuild the part. I honestly haven't had any luck converting directly to a Pro/E part.
