Rotation Problems

Rotation Problems

Hello. I am doing research on molecule structure using Pro/Desktop 8 to create the models. It's been working fine and the models come out nice. So it would be easier for students to examine and rotate the models, I'm transferring files from Pro/Destop to ProductView Express with some success. However, one problem is how ProductView Express decides to place the point of rotation for each part in the model. For example, I've spent the last few days fiddling around with the Pro/Desktop designs to ensure that the rotation point for each component is in the center of it. This amounts to hours of trial and error, learning that the positioning of the initial position of the profile affects it, random lines can affect it, etc. And when I try to connect two parts, the rotation point changes again, leading to even more fiddling. Is there a way inside ProductView Express to specify the Rotation point for a group of components? If someone can help me out, you'll save me many hours of frustration. If you need files, please contact me here. Thank you.

I'm having the same problem, and am new to PTC products. I come from a Catia background and a person could set the rotation point wherever they wanted by using the F3 key and clicking with the LMB. The only partial workaround I've found so far is to window around the components and use the TAB key. This will put the rotation point in the center of the selected components, but does not move the whole assembly, just the selected components.
