Sheet metal: How to adding/solidify a closed surface quilt to a bent sheet metal part?

I'll admit I'm not a sheet metal guy. But I've got a "star"-shaped part to
make, with each arm (tine) consisting of several bends. The bends went well,
but now how do I replicate this single bent tine several times around 360
degrees without redoing all the bends on each individiual tine? I can copy
the solid surfaces to create a quilt, and pattern that quilt around an axis
-- but Pro doesn't seem to want to add a quilt to a solid once it's been
turned into a sheet metal part. Meaning, Solidfy-Add is greyed out (Subtract
is not).

I suppose alternatively I could copy these surfaces from within an assembly
and create a new part from it. But I suspect there's a simpler way (and not
have an external dependency on an assembly file).

@doug1 this post looks to be quite old but have you ever figured out a way to do this?
