I have a colleague who is designing a trailer with a flip-up tongue, and
wants to show the tongue in both orientations, in the same view, while only
having the tongue assembled once (for BOM reasons). We've come up with
several different ways to do it, but all involve using two different views.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Converting to draft items will not update if you have changes to the model. A better way would be to add the other tongue model to the drawing. Align the view both horiz and vertical, but the two views need the same origin. This would not effect the BOM. You could also use a family table assembly and make sure your repeat region (BOM) is tied to the single tongue assembly. This would also get you the view you need without additional items in BOM.
Good Luck
