Tool paths for text

we have always used trajectory sequences and then sketched text to cut
text toolpaths for dateclock pins. Lately however, we have had projects
that require a lot more letters than normal. Putting in the text with
"Sketch, Text" and then offsetting lines for the tooolpath is VERY labor
intensive with so many letters. Does anyone have a better way to create
toolpaths for text?

Thanks to everyone for the responses - it was great to hear from so many
NC users. The overwhelming answer was to use cosmetic groove feature in
the model and then use an engraving sequence to cut the text.
