Mechanism Extension

I'm currently modelling the simulation of a leg impacting the ground when running for my final year project. All parts are assembled and the movement defined but I dont know how to simulate the actual impact of the heel in the ground. If i run the model the leg goes through the prismatic part i defined as ground

The easiest way to model impact is to use a cam with liftoff, and specify a suitable coefficient of restitution for the impact. Define the first cam as the foot sketch profile, and the second cam as the prism,atic cam profile.

Using a cam with lift off...what about using a slot connection?
