In UNIX environment whenever a file is opened by one user and then is opened by another, the system gives a warning (A12463 Epic Editor - Document in Use) that provides info which userID on which station has the file opened and gives the second user an option to RESPECT or OVERRIDE the file lock placed by the first user. For some reason, the same functionality is not working on Windows XP (Epic 5.2). Is it at all available on the Windows platform?
