Editor, et al., not opening

Editor v5.3 has suddenly stopped opening; Architect and Styler as well. Keeps trying to open .xsd, which we don't use, and won't let me browse to correct DTD. Nothing works to resolve this - not new install, even with all v5.3.0... removed from 'regedit.' Has anyone else had this problem? Suggestions?

Check the variables (APTCUSTOM etc.) to make sure it's not picking up some corrupt customisations. Have a think about what changed in the environment just before it stopped working. Did you try a clean uninstall, restart, install?
