Formatting Tables in Web Output

In am in the process of creating a stylesheet for web output using Styler 5.2 M020. The DTD is the Air Force 7700G-AV6aD4P0.dtd. This particular DTD uses a different structure when creating tables. I have 2 underlying issues:

1. My table frame and row separators are not showing up in Web output.

2. When spanning columns this DTD utilizes the spanspec tag where other DTDs I have used for web output use the nameest and nameend attributes on the entry tag to span columns and they work find for web out.

Is there a way I can make this work WITHOUT

Hi Sarah,

> My table frame and row separators are not showing up in Web output.

Could this be due to different default expectations in the CALS table
model vs. the model you may be using for the web?

For example, when using CALS in the Editor environment, if there is no
rowsep attribute on row, a row separator appears in between rows. To turn
these rules off, you have to set rowsep="0".

When you go to export data to an HTML table model, you may not have the
same results. Attributes like rowsep need to be specifically set to the
values appropriate for the table model used by your web output in order to
display rules.

Hope this helps,
Jason

Setting the rowsep and colsep specifically to 1 gave me the borders around the cells as I needed, however I still am having the problem with column spanning and fixed column widths.

Thanks so much for your response as it put me one step closer to what I need.
