Internal reference links going to the previous page

We have recently upgraded from Arbortext 5.2 M020 to Arbortext 5.3 M090 and have found an issue with the internal reference links on the PDF. If you open the PDF and click on a figure link it takes you to the page BEFORE the actual graphic.

We have several different foldout options attached to the sheet tags. Some havefloats attached to them and some do not, each of them function the same way.

Has anyone else seen this problem? If so is there a FOSI fix for it?

Sarah,

This could be caused by the fact that your link is attached to the <figure> tag. The <figure> start tag falls on the bottom of the page, but the graphic won't fit so the graphic is pushed to the next page. However, the LINK is attached to the <figure> tag. Becuase it is able to fit on the page before the graphic, that is where the link is set.

The only possibility I can think of is to attach your link to the graphic tag.

Thanks for the response. I got the same information from PTC.

This was not an issue until we upgraded to 5.3 M090. We have hundreds of documents with thousands of figures to move the id would be a major undertaking. I was hoping to find a more streamline solution.

As Brandon constantly reminds me. there's no guarantee of page fidelity
between versions of Arbortext. Unfortunately, this is exactly what you're
experiencing.

You might also look at making sure your page break is tied to the figure tag
and not the graphic tag.

Wonder if it would be possible to wrap <figure> with a pseudo-tag that
became the element "left" at the foot of the previous page fixing the link
pointer.
