Print Preview Debug Messages

When previewing a file I get the following message:

"preview, dvimisc.cpp, pop() - stack underflow, recovering"

What does this mean? Is there something I can do to resolve this?

This sounds like something that should go directly to Product Support at
PTC. There should not be anyway that this can happen without a bug in
the formatter code.

Hey,

We came across a symbol that I can insert into Epic with no problem, but
it does not seem to show up in the published output. The symbol is the
approximation symbol, entity ≈. Its hex entity is ≈. If we
convert the character entity into its numeric entity, it works fine.
There are other symbols that work fine such as those with character
entities ≠ ≡ ≤ ≥. I know I could use the properties
set entityinputconvert=on and set writenonasciichar=numref within Epic,
however, these cause an issue with some other functionality we have.
Can these be used specifically in E3 or is there something else specific
to E3 that can be done? We are on version 5.1M (That is why I still
call it E3)

Thanks,
Craig

The Editor sometimes does different font fallback logic than the
composition engine (and if your E3 is on Unix with Windows clients then
font fallback is very different). Have you checked to see if this
character is in the font that is being used for printing?

No, but I will take a look. Thanks

We are just using the Arial font for our published output and the font
selected when inserting the symbol is Arial as well. So I would assume
that this symbol should appear in the font when publishing. Is this
correct? Is there anything else that I can look at?

Where is the ≈ entity declared? If this is coming from the DTD, is it
possible that the DTD versions are different between the client machines
and the PE server?
