I'm using the Docbook DTD and style sheet that ship with Arbortext Editor 5.2. I'm writing a functional spec and need a way to automatically number my use cases. I can't use the section numbering, because not all sections are use cases. I decided to modify the style sheet for a Docbook element we never use - "inlineequation" so that it would act as a counter whereever I include it. However, it's not numbering correctly. The number is incrementing every time it's included in a reference, such as a TOC or a cross-reference. For example, the first time I use the inlineequation element, the counter is set to 127 instead of 001, due to the presence of TOCs that refer to this section title beforehand. Any idea how to get this not to increment in the TOCs? Or any better way to achieve an autocounter?
