Simple question: forcing default attribute values to appear within tags

Hi all,

I have a very simple question that I'm unable to find an answer to.

When I specify a default value in a DTD, it doesn't appear to populate within Arbortext automatically. For example, in my DTD I have a situation in which I want to make a column 60 pixels wide by default:

When I insert a <column> tag in Arbortext, I'd like it to say

<column width="60">

but instead it says

<column>

Any pointers?

Thanks,

Chris

It is normal behavior for Arbortext Editor to not explicitly display
attributes with default values when viewing the tags. However the
default attribute value *is* populated within the element. They should
be visible when you open the modify attributes dialog. I think there is
a way to show all attributes in the tag, but I don't remember the name
of the setting, and I can't look it up right now.

Review the online help for "set unspecifiedattrs". I think this is the
solution you're after.

Excuse me. I meant. "set writeunspecifiedattrs". Me smart.

Phenomenal! That was just what I was looking for. Thanks!
