Strange E3 abort

Adepters:







We’re running Arbortext PE (E3)
5.2 and after adding a new doctype are getting this abort in the pdf log:







PDFlib abort occurred in:
PDF_create_action



errortype=12: [1406]
PDF_create_action: Option 'destname' doesn't have a value







I couldn’t find anything in the Arbortext Help Center
about this. Anyone have a suggestion of what’s going wrong?
E3 is producing the PDF, albeit damaged. The XML and FOSI parse just
fine.

Definitely you should file a case with our support organization. PDFLib
is a library we use for creating PDFs, this is a crash coming from
within PDFLib itself. It looks like we are trying to create an action,
so maybe a link in your document to another place in the document or to
an outside PDF or HTML page.

John,

Thanks for the tip about a bad link. Turns out it was a bad
"destination" attribute in an ati:dmd Bookmark tag. Not sure that
should abort the processor, but fixing the attribute resolves our
problem.

I thought it might be something like that. But I would still like it if
you could file a report because we should not have aborted as we did. We
should have given you a better error message to tell you what we did not
like about the Bookmark tag.
