enable sentence capitalization correction (not just detection/flagging)?

Anyone know if this is configurable? Anyone do it as a customization?

I found and understand the set spellsentencecapitalization option, but I
want "fixsentencecapitalization" or something similar.

Have you tried translate mc? This is supposed to convert the first character that follows a period, question mark or exclamation point to a capital letter if it is a letter. (According to 5.2 Help. that is.)

That would handle it assuming:
A) I knew text had been entered, replaced, or deleted.
B) I had code that would recognize and parse sentences (probably focusing on
[punc][space][a-zA-Z] triplets).

But I'd much much much rather check a checkbox or set a settting and let the
spellcheck engine do it 🙂

It doesn't sound like anyone has done that. My guess is that it would be
very twitchy and distracting (to authors) code.
