hidden attributes with an alias

A coworker has discovered that some attributes specified as being hidden
from the modify attributes dialog in the DCF file are shown in the
dialog. The ones that are hidden like they should do not have an alias
mapped, while the ones with an alias show up in utter defiance of the
DCF file. I briefly looked through the documentation to see if any
mention was made as to whether this was expected behavior or not, but
didn't see anything. Anyone know if this is a bug or just the way things
are?

Brian,
I am just guessing right now, but try a couple of simple troubleshooting
tests to see if it is normal ops or a bug.
Add one of your alias tags to the DCF as well as the regular tag. If the
attribute no longer displays, then for one reason or another (and Epic will
need to determine bug or not), the DCF is not recognizing aliases while
hiding attributes.
If this works, you at least have a work around until Tech Support gets back
to you and lets you know what is happening.

Lynn

Lynn,
Thanks for your suggestion. We tried it and the attribute no longer
displays. I'll be sending this off to support to see what they say. As
you said, though, we already have a workaround.
Thanks again,
