using java listeners in arbortext

I am trying to capture the event on inserting a element and fireing off a dialog box. then i want to return the text from the dia to the element location. I am lost and have not been able to make this happen

What is it you're trying to capture? There's likely an ACL or AOM function you should be attached to.
