We have been testing Wildfire prior to upgrading 2001 - WF 2 and have noticed a file size delta upon file conversion. Upon conversion, WF .prt is significanlty larger than 2001 .prt. We have a large assembly which requires over 2GB RAM to process. We use the 1GB switch to allow us to exceed Windows 2GB/application restriction. We're concerned that the converted large assembly would exceed the 3GB max and render itself unuseable for Windows platform. Has this glitch been addressed in WF2?
As a tertiary element to Chris's file size frustration, a 64bit windows fix is the most obvious of move for PTC. That being said where is PTC with a 64bit Windoze version of WF ? Also with extremely large assemblies an SMP version would also be a welcome fix to pedantic response to large assemblies.
