Edit Symbol

Okay, haven't had the need for a very long time to edit a symbol from our symbol library and don't remember ever doing it in CREO 2. I tried to search help, but cannot come up with the how and to save it back. Is there something simple that I am missing?

Thank you,

When you're finished editing, the 'write' menu pick will allow you to write to the symbol folder (likely the folder set in your config.pro).

It's in the first menu after you pick 'Symbol Gallery' to do your editing.

You also need to make sure that when you write the symbol back that you set
the directory.

Good point. If you have a single custom symbol directory, as we do, it will default to that. If you have a folder structure, be sure to pick the right one. (Of course you can move it afterward if a mistake was made.)

Thank you for showing me how to get to the symbols to edit them.

Next question I have is, can you change the color of a symbol when you are editing it?

Yes, you can. Edit the symbol through the Symbol Gallery. Then choose the
geometry that you want to do a color change on and modify the color.
