Thanks for the quick replies guys. All answers were the same:
Highlight any layer. Click Right mouse button on it and you should see
save status in that menu.
Or from the top pull downs. View, Visibility, Save Status should
work as well
FYI: View , Visibility, is the only place I saw for Isolating a layer
I was still looking in then Layer pull down where you add a New layer.
