Summary: table help: gap above text

Thanks for the replies.

A co-worker figured it out for me. It seems that pro/E has a default height on a table cell of 2x the default text height. The default text height is set by: drawing_text_height .100 (or whatever you wish).

So, having a text height of .1 will give me a cell height of .2. That would be .05 below the text, .1 for the text, and .05 above the text. If you change the text size after the table has been created, it does not matter. The default size has been set and so have the spacings.

If you have a default text height of .15, you will get .075 below the text, .15 for the text and .075 above the text. Total cell height is .30.

So, if you want a cell with text height of .20 and spacing of .075 (cell height .35), you need to create the table with drawing_text_height set to .15. This will make the cell height at .30. Having the correct spacing, you then change the text size in the cell to .20 and the cell height to .35.

As always, with tables, the default size at the time of creation is the size that sticks with the table.

Thanks again. I knew there was a way....

Hey everyone,

I thought there was a way to do this, but I can't find it...

For a table cell with text set to "TOP" justification,

How can you adjust the gap between the text and the top of the cell?

Thanks,
Don
