Ungrouping features in the model tree?

How do you ungroup features in the model tree. I have two features that I can't disassociate with one another. I am trying to suppress just one of them and every time I try doing that it ends up suppressing both since they are grouped together. Could someone please shed some light.

Right mouse button on the group will give you the option to ungroup.

However, if the two features are otherwise associated in their creation method, suppressing the earlier one will suppress the dependent feature.
