cutercom

Hello everyone,

I have a profile sequence in my program with the CUTCOM > ON
& also in my post I have the G41 & G42 (cutcom left & right). For some
reason the G41 & G42 are not output to my tap file at all - Is there any
other option that I need to check in order to have them output to my tap
file?

Thank you.

For profile milling, make sure you have some sort of entry/exit move
such as a lead in/out. Also use the tangent lead step and normal lead
step parameters. These last two give you two G01 moves, which some
machines need in order to get cutcom turned on.

For trajectory milling, you must place these entry/exit moves under the
build cut menu in customize. I found out a few months ago that you must
always have an exit move to turn the cutcom off as well, or cutcom won't
be output in the Cl file at all.
