Assembly Constaint Quick Keys

Assembly Constaint Quick Keys

A little irritation has driven me to ask a simple little question. When I
assemble a part using mate or align plane to plane or flat surface to flat
surface I am usually give a request for the offset which I usually enter
with a bogus value, then I redefine that last constraint by clicking in the
offset distance box and changing the offset to a orientation or coincident
constraint. Is there anyway to set these to orientation or coincident
constraints when I am initially asked for the bogus offset? This has
bugged me for years but I have been to lazy to ask. I have tried typing in
c or ctrl - c for coincident and o or ctrl - o but nothing I have tried
works. Any suggestion from you assembly gurus out there? Oh by the way yes
I am still on 2001.

Sincerely,

Ryan Fleury
