There is an icon to activate a window, or you can create a mapkey to make the window active.

I meant: just one click on the window to activate the window. thx

you can pick the model tree to make it active

sorry its a mistake i thought the window will automatically be activated if you pick the model tree..I guess there's no faster way to active a window except using activate icon, Ctrl+A or a mapkey

If you select Window from the menus at the top then select which part you want it seems to auto activate for me.

I have a Logitech programmable mouse. Its software allows me to set Ctrl+A on any mouse buttons. Your hand is always on the mouse, might as well configure the unused mouse button to do Ctrl+A. It works for me for 3 years. To reduce excessive mouse clicks, I also use the 3Dconnexion mouse with my left hand to view/pan/rotate/zoom. The result is a perfect hand balance for power users. And increased productivity at the least.
