During the development part of a project, I can live with BOM table item numbers resequencing every time components are added or omitted from an assembly, however, once the assembly is released, it is still more desirable to have added components be tacked onto the end of a BOM. (Our MRP system uses a "redline" process... uploading new "released" BOMs is still unreliable.)
To ensure this, we can "FIX INDEX" on all the items in the BOM table upon release- if we remember!. Fixing the indexes (sp?) of individual items in a large BOM table sucks..... very repetitive.... ugh!
Has anyone come up with a clever way of fixing the index of the entire table- in one command??
Is this a possible toolkit application??
TIA
