Thanks to Uwe, Jim Jan for going the extra mile, and to all who responded.
Several people were able to identify that the problem was with the system
variable settings.
Turns out, that the problem is that we loaded WF2 onto the 64 bit system
but the parameters were still set to look like the our old 32 bit systems
and purge wasn't the only thing that wasn't working correctly.
It looks like WF3, which we will be loading in a couple of months, has a
CD specifically for the x64 system. I am guessing that these issues will
be fixed when we update to WF3.
In the meantime, to run WF2 on the 64 bit system we moved our loadpoint
from the default
C:\Program Files (x86)\proeWildfire2
to
C:\Program Files\proeWildfire2
and made sure that the variables are set as needed. (see below)
Add to the path to your bin directory of your pro/e install to your path
environment variable.
Everything else seems to be working fine now.
