Re: SUMMARY - Compiling Wildfire 3.0 Example Set using Visual<br /> Studio 2003.net
Here is a brief summary. Special thanks to Patrick Williams and Robert A. Monat for their quick replies.
--
If you are on XP, then in the command window, run Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\vc7\bin\vcvars32.bat. It will set up the environment. Alternatively, you might use the IDE. If you are on XP x64, after installing the SDK, choose the appropriate option from the Start menu SDK button. Again, it will set the environment.
-----
You need to put C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\bin in your path statement. In addition to that the make file will not find all of the include directories and library directories such as: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\include C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\lib C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\PlatformSDK\Include C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\PlatformSDK\Lib If you use the IDE then these directories should be setup for you. If you suspect they are not then open the IDE and click Tools->Options->Projects->VC++ Directories.

Good Day All,
Can anyone share their lessons learned going from WF 2.0 Visual C++ 6.0 to WF 3.0 and 2003 .net. My first question is what should I add to my PATH variable to find nmake.exe? I see 2 versions of nmake.exe under the .net install directory: on in VC7/bin and the other in SDK/v1.1/bin.
Thanks
