dll crash in Wildfire 2.0

dll crash in Wildfire 2.0

I have a synchronous toolkit app named medcust that (amongst other things) adds a custom ProMenubarMenu named MedCustom to my ProE menu.

The app works fine when spawned as medcust.exe, but when run as medcust.dll, Wildfire 2.0 crashes as soon as I click the MedCustom menu. The crash appears to happen as ProE is building the menu, as the drop down never appears.

Can anyone offer an explanation why I'd get an exit in dll mode while the same code works fine in exe mode?

This identical code runs without incident as both an exe and dll with Wildfire 1.0. I'm referencing the same text folder in all tests. I've recompiled the app with the Wildfire 2.0 libraries and added the -DUSE_ANSI_IOSTREAM compiler options, as indicated in the WF2 release notes. I'm using Visual C++ 6.0 SP6 and WF2 datecode M120.

I've confirmed that the ProMenubarMenu and subsequent ProMenubarmenu calls return PRO_TK_NO_ERROR status, but am unable to set a breakpoint in the debugger to isolate the problem.

Thanks in advance for any responses.
