Hi my name is Taher I am the Cad Administrator for Asyst Technologies, our engineering team is moving in the direction of eliminating the need for Drawing. Manufacture parts based on only 3D models.
1. How are you conveying design intent without a drawing? Annotations inside the 3D model, etc?

2. How do you inspect a finished part without a drawing?
3. Are your inspection dimensions annotated inside the 3D model or are measurements taken from the 3D model?
4. What is your success or failure rate at attempting this effort?I would really appreciate it if you can get back to me if you successfully implemented this or if you know any other companies that are currently doing this.Thanks, Taher
