In an effort to increase tool life I would like to vary the tool path so that the tool tip follows a sine curve rather than the programmed straight line. The cutter would then follow a sewing machine style of path. This would allow the use of the full 100 mm of cutter length rather than just < 25 mm workpiece thickness wearing a groove in the cutter. Possibly a variable Manufacturing Parameter Axis Shift.
I have been working with PTC Tech support on this topic. Even though an enhancement request has been logged with PTC, a solution to this is notincludedthrough Wildfire 5.0.
