Currently I used to close and reopen in order to see changes made to the reference files of my worksheet.

Is there any way to update the changes in the reference file/s without the need to close and reopen the parent Worksheet?

Any suggestions?

I think you can just use F9 to re-evaluate the reference.

Additional to Tom's comment.
Make sure you have the particular reference selected so that the F9 acts directly upon it.

This same method can be used to re-calculate 'random' functions which would otherwise not recalculate.

The ctrl+F9 should re-evaluate the whole sheet

Thanks so much Tom and Philip.

"F9" key did update the changes in the references. I believe Ctrl+F9 just updates the calculation in active worksheet not reference files.

I concur that Ctrl-F9 doesn't re-calculate reference information. I am constantly having to locate references, click THAT region and press F9. It can get annoying in long worksheets.

Does that make it a designer bug that we should
report for V14?
