Solving Simultaneous equations

Is it possible to solve a set of simultaneous higher order equations when there are more equations than variables. In my present problem there are 23 equations available and only 11 unknowns.

In general it is not possible to find an exact solution. It is possible to find a least squares solution that minimizes the errors in the equations. Look up "minerr". Richard

lsolve will produce a least squares solution when there are more equations than unknowns. As Richard states, in general there is no exact solution in such cases.

Are you fitting to data? As suggested in the prior responces? Are these exact equations and so are not acutally indepentdent? Can you solve using only the same number of equations and just check the solutions in the remaining equations? Or is this a problem of simultaneous equations with constraints? If so try using solve blocks, you can find information in Help for that.
