Do you have a better system? Maybe, there's some other arrangement that might make more sense to you?
The conventional periodic table is arranged so that columns correspond to electron shell configurations, which result in similar chemical properties.
Hence, elements with completely filled outer shells are placed on the rightmost column, and correspond to elements that are do not react much with other elements, as might be expected from the filled outer shell.
