The ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps portal:
https://www.ptc.com/en/thingworx/manufacturing-apps/Dashboard/Download-Apps
mentions that installation into Windows Server 2008 or 2012 instance is expected.
Can that expectation be overcome? Is a Server container really a hard prerequisite?
I am interested in using this in a Sigma Tile context only.
Thanks,
Jim
Windows 10 is not one of the Thingworx officially supported platform. Given that there are known issues, the installer explicitly blocks it.
James,
My name is Aron Semle. I'm a Solutions Manager for the apps. Although Windows 10 isn't officially supported by the platform, you're the second customer within a week after the 8.1 release to request this. We'll be adding support by the next release the latest, and we'll let you know if we have something sooner. In the meantime if you have Windows 7, it will work on that.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your feedback!

Aron let us know when Windows 10 is supported.
Thanks,
