Behaviour of the function append_catalog_path

Hi all,

I would like to use the function append_catalog_path to add my custom catalogs but it doesn't seem to work.

Looks like it does nothing. So I'm wondering if any of you know what are the return codes of this function and how can I check the catalog paths after the call of this function.

I tried to add a hook but it is never activated.

My calls to append_catalog_path are placed in a script located in the "init" folder of my custom application.
