creating training video files

Pro E users,

Can anyone recommend to me the best way to create training video files
for my users? If so, how also to find instruction on how to do this. I
would prefer not to use the trail files created by ProE, because I would
like the user to have the ability to watch the training videos without
having ProE open. Furthermore, I would like the view to see the cursor
move to the different menu picks I make. I have seen all different ProE
demonstrations where this is done, and it looks very nice. But I have
never done it myself.

Camtasia is very good at capturing a video of the onscreen activity.

Madhav.....As Ian commented, Camtasia is one of many very good tools for creating video. Last I checked, you can download a 30 day free trial from techsmith.com. Regarding learning to use, Camtasia has some pretty good help files. We've been using Camtasia now for a number of years to create ProE and PDMLink training videos. Additionally, the ability to create videos can be quite useful when dealing with Tech Support as a tool for communicating the behavior that is in question.

Regards,

Jim
